Samdech Techo Hun Sen Welcomes Lay Lat's Transfer to the Cambodian People's Party

Phnom Penh: On the morning of June 27, 2024, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), warmly welcomed Mr. Lay Lat's decision to join the party. Acknowledging past mistakes made under extremist leadership that went against national interests, CPP President Samdech Techo Hun Sen praised Lay Lat for his courageous actions.

In an official statement, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed hope that Lay Lat's example would inspire others to secede from extremist groups and contribute to nation-building efforts alongside the Royal Government. This change marks a significant step towards strengthening unity and enhancing the political landscape in Cambodia.

"On behalf of the Cambodian People's Party, I would like to welcome your (Lay Lat's) proposal to join the political life of the Cambodian People's Party," stated Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
